Barrom, Fielding– Enlisted 15 Feb 1777 for a term of 3 years in the 1st Continental Artillery Regiment, served as Pvt and Matross under Capts James Pendleton, John Henry, Whitehead Coleman, Col Harrison, reinlisted in the regiment for duration of the war and last held the rank of Sergeant (M881, Roll 1). Creel, in Selected Virginia Revolutionary War Records, vol 3, 81 shows that on 9 March 1779 Virginia issued “warrant to Elizabeth Barrom wife of Feilding Barrom a soldier in Continental Service for her support per order Jas. City Court.” Creel’s reference is to Library of Virginia, Record Group 48, Auditor of Public Accounts, Inventory Entry 34, Daybooks: Receipts and Warrants, Auditors’ Account Volume II, 11.
