Quick, John- 15 Jan 1776, Convention Committee found that he acted as militia men in the Battle of Kemps landing against Lord Dunmore, after which he was forced into Dunmore’s service by Col Jacob Ellegood and fought at Great Bridge, ordered he remain prisoner of war at discretion of Committee of Safety.
