Keisel, George– Rockingham County; In a booklet of John Smith relative to cows that he collected and drove to Winchester, showing 11 Nov 1781, Geo. Keisel for seven diets, 2 horses at hay, pasturage for 55 head of cattle for one night (APA 238).

Keeter, Sarah– Brunswick County Court 26 July 1779, “George Ledbetter produced his account for necessaries furnished Sarah Keeter and Elizabeth Ridley whose husbands are in the Continental service, amounting to sixty seven pounds nineteen shillings and six pence, which was examined and allowed by the court” (Creel, Brunswick County Virginia Court Orders 1774-1782, 124, with reference to Order Book 13, 272). Same court date, “On the motion of Sarah Keeter, certificate is granted her for obtaining letters of administration of the estate of John Keeter deced. she having made oath thereto according to law and together with George Ledbetter and Henry Mangum her securities entered into and acknowledged their bond” (Creel, 125, with reference to Order Book 13, 273).

Kelly, George– Norfolk County; The Commonwealth to Mr George Kelly as Commissioner of the Tax 6 days, 9.-.- (APA 238).

Kelly, George- In Peter Pelham’s account of prisoners in the public gaol for whom he provided necessaries from 21 Dec 1777 to Feb 1778, Geo. Kelly prisoner 43 days, received 17 Jan 1778 (APA 139, folder “1781”).

Kemp, John- On a 26 June 1783 list of men hired by order of His Excellency the Governor to guard the prison, John Kemp, for 12 days, 1.10.0 (APA 139, folder “1783”).

Kidd, Daniel– Augusta County, Staunton, 4 Dec 1781, Thos. Clark, Director of Artificers, acknowledged receipt of 13.5.3 from Daniel Kidd, “furnished for the use of the artificers at this post” (APA 238).

Kilgore, Robert– Russell County; [the following regards the account of Patrick Porter. It is two sided sheet that appears to relate mostly the receipt of beef for Duncan’s Fort in 1778. The following name appears on the back, followed by a number. The number is assumed to be the number of beeves supplied…or perhaps another commodity] Robt. Killgore, 10 (APA 238).

King, Edmund– Halifax County; On a list of guns & blankets belonging to sundry persons which was “pressed” for use of Halifax County militia when they marched with Gen Greene’s army to Guilford NC, Edmund King 1 rifle valued at 5.0.0 (APA 238).

King, James- 25 March 1782, William Davies of the War Office certifies that James King came as express with dispatches from the County Lieutenant of Botetourt and is to return as such (APA 139, folder “1782”).

King, Weathers– Stafford County; Accounts of George Burroughs, Commissioner for Stafford, certified by him 14 Jan 1782 [includes original signatures]: To Weathers King 36 days driving cattle (APA 238).

Kivelinger, Jacob– Rockingham County; In a booklet of John Smith relative to cows that he collected and drove to Winchester, showing Jacob Kivelinger for 1 beef, Nov 1781 (APA 238).

Knight, Henry– Gloucester County; Gloucester Courthouse, 29 Sept 1781, LtCol John Webb certifies that Henry “Night” furnished a cart with 4 oxen and a negro 4 days for use of troops under his command (APA 238).

Kurtz, Adam– Frederick County; Winchester, 23 March 1781, Charles Grim, Adam Kurtz and Michael Miller acknowledge receipt of 6042 pounds for building 20 cabins for the reception of prisoners of war at this place (APA 238).
