Upshur, Arthur- Accomack Co; Committee of Safety, 8 Jan 1776, whereas Upshur had been previously published for his conduct in sending out a vessel contrary to the Continental Association, Committee found that he had violated the Association “ignorantly, but that he has behaved Since very Obstinate and ill,” therefore he was ordered to pay a fine of 100 pounds.
