Birchet, Edward– Brunswick Co: 28 Oct 1782, “Edward Birchet’s claim for one gun taken for the regular service was considered. It appeared on his oath that the said gun was carried into the service by his son and that the same has never been returned, his son being killed in the service.” [BRUN13:486]

Bloxom, Comfort- Accomac Co; 6 March 1779, warrant to Comfort Bloxom for her support as widow of a Continental soldier. [AAII:5]

Brittman, Elizabeth- Accomac Co; 6 March 1779, warrant to Elizabeth Brittman for her support as widow of a Continental soldier, to 23 Feb 1779. [AAII:5]

Burnett, Mary- Amherst Co; 11 May 1779, warrant to Wm Cabell for provisions furnish’d Mary Burnett widow of a Contl Soldier per order of Amherst Court. [AAII:115]

Hall, Agnes- Louisa Co; Warrant to Agnes Hall widow of a soldier who died in Continental Service for her support for one year from the death of her husband per order of Louisa Court. [AAII:112]         

Hartwell, Mary– 30 April 1779, warrant to Wm. Green Munford for sundries furnished Mary Hartwell widow of a soldier who died in Continental Service per order of Charles City Court. [AAII:93]

Hetslaugh, Patience- Accomac Co; 6 March 1779, warrant to Patience Hetslaugh widow of a Continental soldier, for support of herself & children. [AAII:5]

Hill, Mary- Northumberland Co; 2 April 1779, warrant to Mary Hill widow of a Continental soldier for her support. [AAII:52]

Hill, Rachel- Lancaster Co; Ordered the Treasurer pay Henry Lawson Gent £50 for the support of Rachel Hill whose husband died in the Navy service of this state. [LANC16:28B]

Hogshire, Agnes– 6 March 1779, warrant to Agnes Hogshire widow of a Contl. Soldier for support of herself & child from Oct 1778 to Jan 1779 per order Accomack Court. [AAII:5]

Howard, Susannah- Accomac Co; 6 March 1779, warrant to Susannah Howard widow of a Contl. Soldier for support of herself & children to 1 March 1779. [AAII:5]

Keeter, Sarah– Brunswick Co; 26 July 1779, “George Ledbetter produced his account for necessaries furnished Sarah Keeter and Elizabeth Ridley whose husbands are in the Continental service.” Same court date, “On the motion of Sarah Keeter, certificate is granted her for obtaining letters of administration of the estate of John Keeter deced. Matheny, Margaret- Berkeley Co; 16 Sep 1777, William Matheny’s wife Margaret allowed subsistence, her husband being a soldier in Capt Francis Willis’s company of volunteers; 16 Sep 1778, William Matheny was deceased, Margaret allowed further support. [BERK3:26, 340]

Mitchell, Margaret- Berkeley Co; 18 Nov 1778, James Mitchell’s widow Margaret allowed support, he being a late soldier in Continental Service. [BERK3:351]

Moody, Hannah– 8 March 1779, warrant to Hannah Moody widow of a Contl. Soldier for her support for 1 year per order Surry Court. [AAII:9]
